Witnessing a love story, whether it’s a real one or fictional, always successfully melt my heart. It’s amazing how this force, this energy, brings to life a lot of things: romantic relationships, family, arts & crafts — and possibly every beauty in the planet.

Watching Out of My League, an Italian movie streaming on Netflix, portraying a dying woman in her teenage year who fell for a gorgeous guy — this is not the first movie, nor story about people who decided to stick together, or even get married, although knowing that the other person is in terminal illness and have a degree of possibility of leaving him/her within a specific timeframe.

It just fascinated me, you know, how love could be that strong, how love can conquer fear, or the rational mind, or the rational options to avoid and defy the loss you might face later on, when the inevitable happens. I know that in one way or another we will eventually deal with death, but having it handed right in front of you with a certain “guarantee” — I don’t even know how to…

And it’s such a shame that when buried in a tensed or mundane relationship, when everything is rather “fine”, where there’s no death threats lurking in the corner, any relationship can fall off easily. People stop caring for each other, or use less effort in fighting for what’s right, what’s needed.

I am so glad to be reminded, how love can be a very powerful force to guide us. Love for ourselves, love for our family, relatives, friends, work, the earth. It has challenged the impossible, and it’s proven to sustain life on this planet from generations to generations.

Hope you can also be guided to find the love surrounding you, the one that empowers you, nurture you, carry you forward. And so you can nudge that source of love, and tell them how much you’ve loved them, and how much their love means to you.
